Don Rickles Biography

 Don Rickles was an American comedian and writer. He also acted as an actor. He was a respected and popular entertainer. He was a combination of humor and quick wit, as well as his sincere affection for his fans which made him a magnet for laughter, fun and entertainment. Because of his extraordinary ability to make an offensive insult seem funny and hilarious He was a frequent participant in celebrity roast circuits. Since his jokes were crude and hurtful, he drew lots of attention and anyone who was exposed to them would have a great time. He started out as a conventional comedian, performing rehearsed jokes, but changed tracks after realizing that the audience loved his impromptu insults more than his planned material. He was a favorite of many among them Frank Sinatra. He appeared in several movies and television shows. He also released two comedy records. He was honored with many awards such as a Lifetime Achievement' award at the  The Comedy Awards.' His brand of insult comedy earned him many names, including 'The Merchant of Venom,' 'The Insultan, Mr. Warmth, and 'Master of Insinuations.' Don Rickles could only land small roles in television upon his graduation. In order to earn a living, Rickles began performing stand-up comedy. He eventually became known as an 'insult comedian'. He began the 1970s with a pivotal character in the film "Kelly's Heroes" (1970), starring Clint Eastwood. He appeared in a variety of television comedies such as  The Dean Martin Roasts (1973) and  The Don Rickles show' (1972). Barbara Sklar and Don Rickles were married on the 14th of March, 1966. They had two children including daughter Mindy and son Larry. Their son, Larry, died in the year 2011. Bob Newhart was Don Rickles' most beloved friend. The two of them often took holidays together, along with their wives. They were a couple that were on numerous TV shows together, including "Newhart". Don Rickles was also a good friend of Bob Newhart and they frequently vacationed together in California
