Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi on August 14, 1983. Kunis immigrated with her parents Elvira Kunis and Mark Kunis to the United States at seven years of age. They eventually moved to Los Angeles. The Kunis family arrived in the new country with just $250. This was a difficult beginning. But Kunis' parents both gave up professional careers to uproot themselves and move to the United States, were determined to create a better living for their kids. Mark was an engineer who worked in mechanical engineering, quickly was able to find employment as a taxi driver. Elvira, an entomologist from Ukraine, ended up running an entomology clinic. "I didn't understand the culture," Kunis has said about first arriving to the United States. "I didn't know the people. I was not conversant in the language. The first line of my essay to apply for college was "Imagine yourself being blind and deaf at age seven." It was a very difficult experience when I moved into the States. But it was not an easy change. Milena Markovna Kunis a daughter of Mark Kunis' and Elvira Kunis' from Chernivtsi Ukraine was born on the 14th of August in 1982. She has an elder brother. Her mother works as a teacher of physics. She also runs a pharmacy. Her father, a mechanical engineer by profession is also driver for taxis. When she was seven years old, her family moved to Los Angeles. Rosewood Elementary School was her first option. When she was nine, she started acting lessons. After auditioning for a couple of commercials, she made her television debut in 1994 on 'Days of our Lives. She also starred as a child actress in the 'Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves and "Santa with Muscles," and the Angelina Jolie movie, Gia. In 1998, she got her first big role as Jackie Burkhart, in the popular sitcom "That 70s show". After receiving praise from the critics, she was cast in the character of Meg Griffin, an animated sitcom.
