Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright, born 17 February 1991 is an English actress. She is also a director, model, activist and actress. Wright is most well-known for her part in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She was in the role for 10 years, before moving to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Wright has appeared in numerous independent films like Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films received mixed reviews. She was the stage's first main character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. After that, she established her own production firm, BonBonLumiere, and began making short films. Her first directed project was the coming of age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). The film was released at Cannes Film Festival to high critique. Wright also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films used emotions and landscapes as the main themes. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and based upon A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She also directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson, Pete Yorn and Sophie Lowe. Wright has been recognized for her environmental activism. she also serves as an ambassador for charities Greenpeace as well as Lumos.
