Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. She is most known for her role on the American television show Law & Order, on where she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons as well as Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also appeared on films like RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she wrote and directed). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father, was a marketing and meat sales/marketing executive. The position required a lot of travel , which meant the family had to move frequently. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine passed away in 1982. Her daughter was left under the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. is Jacqueline Hennessy, an identical twin, who is a magazine journalist as well as a host on TV in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian origins on her father's side and mostly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She attended Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy and her sister were the first actors to be cast as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who was ultimately chosen for the part, claimed she was a finalist to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role was occupied for three seasons before she quit the show in 1996.
