Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow was born December 18th 1979. Her most well-known roles include her roles on The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara The Darkness. The actress is also famous for her role as The Armorer in the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also in the game video The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18, 1979. She grew-up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. She began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School, Jacksonville, while she was studying at the time. In 2001, she graduated with a degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School for the Arts.Swallow began her professional career on Broadway theatre performing in numerous productions including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was a part of the world premiere of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse as well as in a duet with Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins the play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre, and also in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. In the year 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female actor for her performance in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed with Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theater Club. The show is about the hilarious mishaps and adventures of Jac Huberman and Swallow as they face very different situations in their lives, with the same degree of difficulty.
