Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz, (pronounced NOH-vitch) is an Canadian actress from Canada. Her best-known work is her role as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction television series Continuum. She was also a character in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a time during the ninth grade. She lived with her uncle in Poland and went to Jelenia Gola School. Then, she attended Vancouver Film School. When her brother introduced her to the Pulp Fiction, she became fascinated by acting. In 2002 she made her first appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She did a brief appearance in John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she appeared as Andy Jensen on Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to play Lacy Rand in Caprica's television drama starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Then, she appeared in the show Hellcats. In 2012, she was an actress in Jane Espenson's second series, the web-based Husbands, a romantic comedy. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film directed by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno was originally shot in 2012. It was released internationally in 2015. Apanowicz was cast in Volition as Angela. It premiered on February 20 in 2020. Apanowicz was cast as Sandy in the second series of the Netflix thriller You.
