Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actor from Canada. She appeared in the Teletoon children’s comedy series Majority Rules as Becky Richards. from 2009 to 2010. Between 2009 and 2010, she appeared in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) on the NBC series Revolution from 2009-2010. It was a post-apocalyptic science- series. She was nominated to an Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson was her role on the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos has starred on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. As Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents and restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. The family moved to her father's hometown, Skala, Greece south of Sparta just a few years after her birth in Canada. They returned to Canada in 1992. She has a strong connection to her Greek heritage and can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting in junior high school. She later attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting and within a few weeks, she was offered her first television appearance in a small role on Supernatural. She continued to work on television, playing walk-on roles in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos made an appearance in the TV film Goblin and also in the web-based television series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She was also a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean as the werewolf. In 2009, Spiridakos was awarded her first role as a starring character in Majority Rules! Canada, in which she played 15-year-old Becky Richards. In 2011, she made her debut in feature films in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also produced Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller by Michael Greenspan. The film starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos was seen as Sammi in the 2012 Nickelodeon original film, Rags. She then landed a lead role in the NBC television show Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, a survivalist in an unimaginative future society. As she attended her first pilot season, she auditioned for the part. Spiridakos shot the pilot in Atlanta and then filmed the first season in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance during the pilot, losing out to Anna Torv of Fringe's Anna. The second season was recorded in Austin, Texas.
