Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles, California, the younger daughter of media mogul, producer and musician Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. She has an older sister, Kidada Jones, as well as five half-siblings inherited from the relationships of her father's previous relationships. Her father is African-American and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant from emigrants to Russia and Latvia). Rashida was raised Reform Judaism. She was born in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones said that Jones her parents of mixed race weren't acceptable to her during the 1970s. Jones began her professional acting debut in The Last Don, a mini-series from 1997 based upon the novel by Mario Puzo. Rashida was also a Harvard University graduate in 1997.
