Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sofer is an American
actresswho is known for her appearances on the daytime network, occasional
guest appearances as well as made-for TV films. In 1995, Sofer received a
Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General
Hospital. She has been acting as Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS the soap drama
The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter
of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi.
Her family subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until the time of
divorce from her parents,[citation required] she moved with her brother and
father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. However, Sofer lived in Western
Pennsylvania as a young child. The family was brought up in Ambridge,
Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended
the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located
in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father
was the rabbi of Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School,
later attending classes at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie
Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. She first appeared in 1993 as a
manager for the band. However, her first role was in the role of Rocky McKenzie
in the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91). Sofer is most likely best known
for her performance as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 -
September 24, 1996). She was later in guest appearance on the show (February
7-17, 1997 between September 30th and October 2nd 1997). Sofer was presented
with the Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in Drama
Series for her role as Lois. Sofer was asked to join CBS' soap show The Bold
and the Beautiful in the newly created role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode
aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has appeared as a guest star/supporting cast
member in a number of high-profile primetime television shows, such as Seinfeld
and Melrose Place. Her first episode aired on July 12.
