Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. She is the middle child, having one older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut in a TV-made film called City Boy (1992). Following her debut film Sarah was a candidate for the role of Becky on Roseanne (1988) in 1993. After Alicia Goranson left the show to go to college, the show was searching for someone to replace her. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995, while filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne (1988) season. Sarah also starred with Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, she starred in 2 films which included Robin of Locksley (1996) as well as Stand Against Fear (1996) where she played a cheerleadernamed "Krista Wilson". Sarah was asked to be a part in a show from 1998 called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. It was a year following Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) The show was also based. The role was taken over by Becky on Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She declared that she'd like to stop acting and enroll in college. [2001] (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988), however, she is actually younger. She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Awards Ceremony, at which she received an award for the most successful single of the year. [September 1999] At age eight, she appeared in Vancouver theater productions. She is fluent in French and German. She is a volunteer at a hospice that cares for seriously ill children. In her spare time, Chalke prefers cooking with other friends (especially Thai and sushi) and playing guitar as well as hiking, skiing (she's an instructor) and snowboarding, kayaking and reading. Her father is a lawyer, as are her parents mediators. They also operate an agency for child adoption. Her parents brought her to China in order to oversee the adoptions of many orphans.
