Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose", born September 5, 1973 was an American actress. Following her debut film in an uncredited role in the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan gained more recognition for her performance in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995), receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. McGowan's debut came in the horror movie Scream in the year 1996. Later, she was the star of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) as well as Going All the Way (1997). McGowan's performance as Paige Matthews on the WB supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006) was the most well-known part of her career. McGowan was later cast in Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) for which she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the Scream Award for Best Scream Queen. In 2014, she was a part in Chosen the action-thriller show. She released Planet 9, her first studio album in 2018, and a repackaging of the album was released in 2020. In 2017 Time named McGowan one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year for her stance on sexual assault and harassment particularly with respect to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases and the Me Too movement. Brave is her memoir. Citizen Rose was her documentary series. Both were released in 2018.
