Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark spiky blonde hair and a exuberant personality, shares easy to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants in her series Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell is also a part of many of the best restaurants located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy as well as competed in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her when she earned the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The student says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I loved every minute of it." It was impossible to take enough out of the experience. When I graduated from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she grew to truly comprehend and appreciate the philosophy behind Italian culinary and cultural traditions that left a lasting impact on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation and was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation to mentor others in her task. Anne declared that she felt fortunate that I could be able to share her passion for cooking with other people.
