Antonique Smith
Antonique is an actress and singer who has a wide range of credits that include Broadway and film. Her releases include Soulful R&B albums. Smith was the first actress to make an appearance in Sidney Lumet's 100 Centre Street, a television show developed by East Orange New Jersey native Antonique Smith in 2002. Then she got more notice starring as Mimi in the hit Broadway musical Rent from 2005 until 2007. 2007 saw her in Julie Taymor's movie Across the Universe. Smith showcased her voice and acting talents in the same year, when she portrayed Faith Evans, a rapper/singer in the Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious. Smith was awarded a number of accolades for the role and resulted in her being cast in a variety of films, including Abduction (2011) which starred Taylor Lautner & Alfred Molina; and Yelling to the Sky (2011) with Zoe Kravitz and Gabourey.
